An Introduction
Today, I blend my lived experience with professional training to offer a compassionate, creative space for others. Through an integrated art therapy approach, I support people in expressing their emotions, exploring their stories, and reconnecting with their inner strength. I know how easy it is to lose your sense of self in the wake of trauma and grief — and I also know the quiet, powerful ways we can find ourselves again. One of lessons I’ve learned so far is that our perception is shaped by our experiences — what we’ve lived through influences how we see the world. By shifting our focus and accepting ourselves in our entirety, we can transform our reality.
This work is rooted in the belief that being truly heard and witnessed is the beginning of healing. Wherever you are on your path, we can walk it together — gently, one step at a time — through the transformative power of creative expression.

As part of my professional practice I am committed to personal development and maintaining current best practice within the helping industry. This informs my registrations with leading associations to ensure I meet the criteria to practice with integrity, authenticity, and professionalism. I engage with Clinical Supervision from highly experienced professionals. As well, I am a forever student, leaning in to continuous education within the field of Creative Art Therapies.

Hello, I’m Bernice — and I’m truly honoured you’re here.
The past decade has been a deep journey of healing for me — a process of shedding old beliefs, moving through loss, and embodying new ways of living with authenticity and compassion. At the heart of my life, I’m a mum to three beautiful children — two earth side and one in the stars. My family and I carry the shared grief of losing our son, the identical twin of our eldest, at 30 weeks in utero. This loss, as well as other losses, has brought incredible meaning to my life.
My husband and I have been together for over twenty years — our relationship has had its highs and lows, moments of clarity and redirection, but at the heart of it, we keep choosing each other. We seem to hold the mirror up to each other quite often… this means our connection challenges us to grow, to look inward, and to see our self, more clearly — sometimes in ways that are confronting, but ultimately supportive and transformative.
For many years, I worked in the hospitality industry. During the pandemic lockdowns, I made the difficult decision to step away. I recognised the toxic dynamics I was dealing with and knew it was time to remove myself and follow a path that aligned more closely with my values and deeper purpose.
My healing journey began around the age of 30, when debilitating anxiety brought me to a standstill — a result of avoiding long-unprocessed trauma. During this time, I discovered art therapy, which included revisiting artwork I had created in my adolescence. This became a powerful gateway to self-discovery, emotional processing, and ultimately, self-reclamation. It was a turning point that shifted the course of my life. I was then guided by a deeply wise soul — a true earth angel — who helped me realize that connecting to the divine source is essential for living in alignment with truth and love.
