An Introduction
Hello, I’m Bernice!
What an honour it is to have you here.
This past decade has been a time of personal healing, transcending old beliefs and limitations, and actualising new ways of being in the world. I have spent most of my adult life within the hospitality industry, and now have transferred these skills to hold a greater intention of service. I blend my personal experiences with my professional training to offer a compassionate, healing space for self-discovery and self-understanding, using an integrated art therapy approach.
Having faced significant losses in my own life—from the heart breaking loss of my twin baby, Lucas, to the passing of dear friends and family—I deeply understand the pain of grief and the journey of finding yourself again. I know what it feels like to lose a sense of who you are, especially after trauma. For years, I ran from the pain, numbing it until I lost touch with myself. It was only when anxiety became overwhelming, preventing me from even leaving my home, that I realised I needed to make a change. That moment became a turning point in my life, when I reached out for help and found a new path forward.
Through these experiences, I have come to know the healing power of the arts and creativity. I now help others navigate their own struggles by offering a safe space where they can express their emotions, process their experiences, and rediscover their inner strength. My work is built on the understanding that truly listening and witnessing can create the space needed for healing and growth.
Together, we can explore your journey, find meaning, and honour your unique story. Let’s take it one step at a time, through the transformative process of creative expression.
